Organic vegetables can be expensive, and may travel many miles to make it to your supermarket produce section. Buy local produce instead, it’s freshest and packed with the most nutrients, and surprisingly much cheaper. I use a Miami-based vegetable co-op called Farm Fresh Miami. Every 2 weeks you pick up 15lbs ($30) or 25lbs ($50) at a location within a few miles of your home. There are locations throughout Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Check their website for more info at
